Quick question regarding Prince and Lady

Does anyone know if they ever say how Lady and Prince actually meet? I mean what were the circumstances of their first meeting? I know she never found out that he's actually Prince Strongheart in the animated series, but I got to thinking about it and curiousity over the subject took over. Now I'm on a mission.... *every groans as to say, "Here we go again!"* I love this couple! 
And I'm a hopeless romantic... Prince has been in love with Lady ever since he saw her, & I take it that she first caught a glimpse of Strongheart's reflect in the lake, but where did HE first see/meet yon fair Lady?
I always assumed they met
I always assumed they met while he was in dog form...
But then again, I'm highy influenced by the german audio play, having grown up with it. It's kinda like my bible regarding LLL.
There Prince is actually her dog.
But even there it is never mentioned how this came to be...
Though I would imagine that Strongheart managed to escape from the witch who cursed him ( thee sugestion is strongly planted in the 5th tape, by said witch herself).
He propably lived like a stray for a while. And knowing our Lady and her kind heart, she propably found him somewhere and gave him a new home?
And really - for him it would have been perfect to hide away from the witch and from the Dutchess.
Fits together somehow, I expect....
