2008 will be Lady Lovely Locks’ 20th anniversary, and I think that it needs to be re-released just as strawberry shortcake and care bears were. I’m planning to write American Greetings on this subject. However I do not have enough support; it would bring me much pleasure if every one would support me and give me more points to put in the letter. Thank you all that have read this and hopefully we will have Lady return with all her glory.
Ohh!
20th anniversary? That is wonderful! And I would love love for this to happen! Though I agree with much of what has been said, I believe that, in the right hands, it could be amazing!
Those Characters From Cleveland
Just so you're all aware, I am in contact with Those Characters From Cleveland and we are speaking. We shall see.
Best,
Jack
Hmmmm...
You know, this is quite a nice idea. I think I'll put a call in to American Greetings on Monday. I've recently been appointed president of an animation studio in India and perhaps there is a way for us to be working together. If it ultimately happens it will be because of ladylovelylocks.org. I'll keep you all posted. I will promise everyone that if it does happen, our Lady Lovelylocks will be in caring and loving hands.
Best,
Jack Olesker
This is exciting news!!! I
This is exciting news!!! I hope everything goes well and turns out to be a success. I read all of the messages posted and it is good to hear that you will keep to the way of Lady LovelyLocks instead of drastically changing things. So thank you!
If their is possibly a series... does that mean a toy line?
It would be absolutely
It would be absolutely AMAZING if this went through! Thank you for all your help Jack.
Well the more I think about
Well the more I think about it, the more I like the idea. I've got a little man named Herman who lives about two inches below the bottom-most rib on the right side of my chest and when he starts pounding away on my ribcage, I always listen to him. (It was that way when I created Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, by the way.) So last night he was just landing punch after punch. I'm going to speak with some of my associates in India on Monday and we'll give this some serious consideration. I do think LLL would be a great film and perhaps we can restart the series. It seems to me that with LLL's gentleness and pro-social message that the timing could be perfect.
You know what's odd... I
You know what's odd... I looked you up the other day and found that you wrote alot of shows that I LOVED as a child. I guess it was you who inspired me to go into animation... :/
I just hope LLL doesnt fall into the wrong hands. It seems that all the cartoons nowdays are all... I dont know.. the same? and not very fun to watch. It would be wonderfull to see Lady grace the world again.
By the way, what is the name of the company in india you are working for?
I'm president of KEN
I'm president of KEN Creative Studio in Chennai, India (formerly KEN Kreative, so you'll find it under kenkreative.com). Well, having written over a thousand episodes of television, it's likely I've written something you've seen -- The Care Bears, Popples, Inspector Gadget, The Littles, Super Mario Brothers, Maxie's World - those are all my guys...and of course lots of boy's action/adventure series and a good number of direct to DVD fairy tale movies like Pocahontas, The Little Mermaid, Heidi, The Three Musketeers, Sinbad, etc..
If you'd like to get some information on the feature film I'm currently directing, based on my screenplay, you can go to ninjaknights.com. However, if you want to view the film's trailer, DO NOT look at the 'trailer' on the opening page as that's for the video game. Instead, click on Downloads and when you get to the Downloads page, click on View Trailer and you'll see the trailer for the film.
As for LLL, I can assure you that if I and the studio become involved, we will be true to the original concept. I've said in other posts that LLL has a place in my heart and I would never do anything to change her -- my daughter would simply not stand for it and neither would I!
This should be interesting. I'm starting to get a good feeling about this. I'll probably be hanging around on ladylovelylocks.org a bit more as I think it's a good place for me to immerse myself regarding this potential project.
Best,
Jack
Re: I'm president of KEN
This sounds most promising, Jack! *keeps fingers crossed*
Hmm, what would you and your daughter think of bringing in new characters, preferably ones with Asian roots?
It would be kind of interesting with Asian twins, two girls that are alike yet not (opening up possibilities for some hopefully interesting storylines/themes as well). And making outfits for them, that'd be kimono esque yet also conform with the fluffy wardrobe of the Magical Kingdom, would also prove an interesting challenge..
hmmm, that is a good idea.
hmmm, that is a good idea. However, cartoons are dominated by shows from japan or cartoons that are trying to look aisian. It would be nice to see a cartoon that stood out from the rest.
oh, I wish movies were traditionally animated again. It sad seeing only CG movies comming out.
