Let's chat!

So yeah, so under the Meet the Fans, it says "Introductions, chat, contacts off-site, etc." So I figure, why not do a little chatting?

Yes yes everyone makes topics and introduces themselves, but how about learning more about each other? Now I am just going to throw out some info about me, and everyone and anyone can reply whatever comes to mind when they read it. Maybe share a little bit about yourself. Anything that strikes your fancy, that might strike up a conversation.

So yeah, something about LLL and then some stuff about me:

(( Yeah, if I run on too much, just tell me to shut up. I wouldn't blame you if you didn't read this whole thing. I hope this thread isn't breaking any rules ^^; ))

LLL, love right? I watched it when I was younger, in Virginia. You know how some things about your childhood are clear as crystal and others are foggy and some things you don't remember at all? Well LLL is a foggy one for me. I only remember flashes of it. One thing I remember is the time Maiden CurlyCrown got sick somehow and Lady had to go to that Iceplace and get roses or something and, as always, Duchess Ravenwaves tried to stop here. And I also remember the time that Ravenwaves woke that giant and turned it loose, in the end it went back to it's mother. Some other things stick in my memory, not a lot, but I know that I loved LLL and inside of my, that childish part of me still loves it, which is what brought me here.

I've lived in Michigan for about 10 years now, I moved up here in the 90s, I was about 7 or so. I'm 17, just graduated, I live with my parents and have three sisters, two older, one younger. Where do you live? Any siblings or family?

I dislike the winter, I hate being cold. Sure winter sports are fun. I have many great memories of sledding down large hills in my childhood, but I still hate being cold. Snow is pretty, and it's nice for christmas, but I don't like it all that much. If you've never seen it, I could see why you might want to, but I think it's overrated. it has it's positives and negatives, like anything else, I suppose. I like summer, but it can be too hot. My favorite parts of the year, are early fall and late spring. What time of year do you like?

Um, but anyways, I'm Ella. Gabriella Rene, to be exact, but everyone calls me Ella. I have a kitten named Ducky, whom I adore! She is named Ducktape, my father named her that, for her fur color and sharp claws. Share what name you like to be called. Do you have any pets?

Ummm, I am having a mind block right now, so that's all! : looks back over post : Holy wow that's long. Er, sorry. ^^; Well I'd love some replies!!

^.^

Well, this wasn't my introduction topic, just one I made for fun. I'm not much of a writer, i've never tried my hand at fanfics or any such. I did some writing in school, but who doesnt, and was pretty good.

I'm kinda an artist, in my own way. I don't have any skill with drawing, I haven't tried pottery yet, but I want to at college. I will be looking into photoshop with a class of mine and I like photography. I also sometimes play around with paint and make cute little pixel images.

Pink paws, that sounds adorable. Ducky is..gosh I don't know how old, it seems like we've had her forever. We adopted her when my dad's friend found her abandoned. I used to have a dog years ago, a golden lab, but we gave her to a nice family with younger kids.

I'm just so happy I got a reply. I can see this place isn't the busiest, I check 2-3 times a day to see if there are any new posts.

Great idea!

This is a lovely idea Ella, it's wonderful to get to know people!
Well, I am Ana, but my online name has always been Aura. I'm from Australia and 19, currently in first year university. I grew up with LLL as a child with the video 'The Dragon Tree', it's something that has always been imprinted upon my memory, and I've found that many people from my generation have quite vivid memories of her! Essentially I grew up with the cartoon, until I discovered this wonderful website. LLL has been a facet of my childhood that I have not forgotten, perhaps because of its innocence!
Right now I'm sort of resident LLL fan fiction writer. I have been writing my entire life, writing fan fiction for about 4 years however this was my first experience for writing for a cartoon. I find it requires quite a lot of visual description (although descriptions have always been my forte) and I love being able to capture the characteristics and Lady and her friends with words and dialogue. It's like an art for me!
Don't quite know what else to say, but I can go with the flow with this conversation!
xx Aura

Thank you!

Oh well thank you, Aura. Yes it is, I love getting to know people. I'll be starting college in the fall of this year. I live in a small town (population 1200) and so I am a small town girl. I will be going to NMC, a local college for the first 2-3 years. I'm not sure what I will be studying, I am thinking something in business since I love people and I like math. What do you plan on/what are you studying in the university? Something dealing with writing?

I'm a navy brat. My father was in the navy for 20 years, and luckily, we only moved about 3-4 times. I mostly lived in Virginia and Georgia, though we did a lot of traveling about, for fun and to visit my fathers family, which is quite large. So my childhood is mixed up and moved about, and though the particulars of LLL don't stick in my mind, it is definitely a happy memory.

I see that you have quite a number of fan fiction writings in the forum. I would love to read them, though I should brush up on my LLL history before doing so. The written word is very much an art. What I love about writing, is that it is an art, in so many ways. All artist have different ways of doing things, different opinions and likes and dislikes. These differences make their art so special and unique, stand out, fit it, go with the rules or ideas, or go far beyond. It's the same with writing. Some people use a lot of flowery words and adjectives, others make it short and simple and to the point. Then there are all the different things you can write about, and all the differents ways a object, person, thought or idea can be viewed by someone. Oh gosh, I am totally rambling right now. Sorry, I tend to do that sometimes.

I tend to say more then can be replied to, a lot of the time. It's not a big deal. I am just happy to be talking, learning and sharing. I look foward to our continued conversation.
