One day the little dog Silkypup had gone to Glory Manor. For with ShiningGlory lived the dog Prince, and he and Silkypup were very good friends.

Prince was actually a boy who was enchanted, and his deepest wish was to become a boy again one day. But, as long as he was a dog, he liked the things dogs liked, like running swiftly and burrying bones. But most of all he liked it when Silkypup came to visit. Then, the two dogs loved to chase each other around and play dog games.

On this day they were running around as usual, into Glory Manor and out again. ShiningGlory liked it when they were playing like that and never got angry with them... at least, almost never. Only when they were splashing around... then even ShiningGlory felt it was too much!

Silkypup and Prince were playing hide-and-seek, when Silkypup found a long cloak, which was hanging over a chair in the side room of ShiningGlory.
"That's a nice place to hide myself," she thought. "Under there, Prince will never see me!"
So she crawled under the cloak. But what she did not know, was that the cloak was a magic cloak. A magic cloak which could make you invisible. So, as soon as Silkypup had crawled under it, she had - without realising - become invisible!

A moment later Prince, waggling his tail, jumped into the room. He looked around, but he didn't see Silkypup anywhere. He sniffed around.
"That's strange," he thought. "It smells as if she's here, but I can't see her."
Silkypup was laying underneath the cloak and found all this very amusing.
"Now I'll jump from under it and then you'll see him look," she thought. So she did that... but Prince looked straight through her! Then he turned around and walked out the room.
"How odd," thought Silkypup and she went after Prince, who ran in and out of the place looking for her!

Silkypup was much smaller than Prince. It was difficult for her to keep up with him and she ran out of breath. Prince ran faster and faster to find her. He ran around the Manor and caught up with Silkypup again.
"Woof! Woof!" he barked. "Silkypup, where are you?"
But poor Silky Pup was too tired to answer, so Prince thought that she must have gone home and he ran into the forest to search for her. Silky Pup was so tired and confused, that she decided to sleep for a while.

In the meanwhile, Maiden FairHair had come to Glory Manor.
"Hello ShiningGlory," she said. "Have you seen Silkypup by any chance?"
"She was here a moment ago," said ShiningGlory. "She was playing with Prince."
"Oh," said Maiden FairHair. "I just saw Prince in the forest and he was alone."

The Pixietail friends of Maiden FairHair had come along with her. They were delighted to look around Glory Manor, because they always found so many interesting things there. So, when one of them saw a bone floating by, she thought it was one of ShiningGlory's magic tricks.
"Come quickly!" she called to the other Pixietails. "Look at that magic bone!"
Silkypup was very glad to see her friends, the Pixietails, but she did not know that they could not see her. Almost already she had forgotten the strange behaviour of Prince, before she took her nap.
She dropped her bone and barked: "Bowwow! Hello Pixietails!"
But the Pixietails startled and ran away! Silkypup ran after them to Maiden FairHair.
"Bowwow!"" she barked. "Hello FairHair!"
But Maiden FairHair also startled and ran away to look for ShiningGlory.
"What's the matter with all my friends?!" thought Silkypup. "Nobody wants to play with me anymore!" And she lay down and began to cry.

ShiningGlory came with Maiden FairHair behind him. Both heard the crying.
"What does that sound like, FairHair?" he asked.
"Well..." said FairHair. "It sounds like... Silkypup, I think."
ShiningGlory stretched his hand out and felt Silkypup's long, soft hair. He picked her up. "It is Silkypup," he said. "And I think she's been playing with my magic cloak!"
Soon ShiningGlory had turned Silkypup visible again and the little dog was pleased as punch. But for a very long time after that she stayed far away from cloaks!
